Overview
AI For Word is a Microsoft Word productivity application. This page summarizes how the website and related account services handle information. It is intended as a clear product privacy summary and may be refined as the product evolves.
Account information
When you sign in, we collect the email address you provide so we can send a verification code and maintain your account. Authentication is passwordless.
Payments and licensing
Purchases are processed by Stripe through checkout sessions created by the AI For Word backend. Payment card details are handled by Stripe. After checkout, the backend verifies the paid session before granting a license. License status is stored so we can confirm that you own AI For Word.
AI API keys
AI For Word uses a Bring Your Own Key model. Your AI provider API key is configured for use in the Word add-in and is not stored by the AI For Word backend.
AI processing
AI For Word does not provide its own language model. AI processing is performed through the provider associated with your API key, subject to that provider's terms and privacy practices.
